Flamengo turns the game around and defeats Paulistano in the LDB
Mais Querido shows strength and reverses the opponent's ten-point advantage to achieve victory

Even though Flamengo has already qualified for the playoffs in first place overall, they continue to show great desire in the Basketball Development League (LDB) games. This Saturday morning (November 02.11nd), in São Paulo, the red-blacks took a ten-point lead from Paulistano, turned the game around in the third quarter and came away with a 67-53 victory. The match was the Mais Querido's penultimate before the end of the fifth stage of the competition's qualifying phase.
Center Cristiano Felício was Flamengo's standout performer, posting a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds. Another center, Douglas, also shone, contributing 15 points.
"This group of ours doesn't have the characteristic of complacency, especially because I wouldn't allow that. We were behind on the scoreboard, but we locked in the defense and that allowed us to attack with ease. So, we turned the situation around and managed to control the match," explained Paulo Chupeta, coach of Mais Querido.
Flamengo will return to the court at 09:15 am next Sunday (03.11), again in São Paulo, to face São José.

Next Saturday (November 09.11th), at 10 am, at the HSBC Arena, Flamengo will take the court to begin defending its Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) title. It will be the champion's return to the stage where it was crowned and secured the trophy for the fifth edition of the competition last June. And the first round already pits the Mais Querido against Brasília, in a repeat of the clash that has already taken place in two NBB finals.
