Orlando Magic win 106-88, with a great performance by Marcelinho

The Pride of the Nation played its second match in a series of three friendly matches against American teams in the NBA preseason on Wednesday night (15.10). At the Amway Center, Flabasquete faced Orlando Magic, in Florida, and played another good game.

Despite not coming out victorious, the team, as in the game against the Phoenix Suns, knew how to play on equal terms and not disappoint the large Flamengo fans present in the arena.

The game

Right from the start of the match, the home team took the lead. Although the red-and-black team responded quickly to the first points, the Orlando Magic eventually opened up a significant lead, giving the Americans a cushion to close the first quarter 34-23 in their favor.

For the second quarter, the red-and-black team returned with a more focused approach. With Marcelinho's excellent three-point shooting, the Pride of the Nation closed the gap. The comeback allowed the Most Beloved to close the quarter with the lead: Flamengo 26 x 21 Orlando Magic.

The start of the second half saw the Americans more effective in the paint. Despite Felício and Nico scoring well, and Marcelinho continuing to hit his three-pointers, the third-quarter victory went to the Orlando Magic, 29-23.

The early lead was enough for the Florida team to secure their victory in the fourth quarter. The Red-Blacks, the first Brazilian team to participate in the NBA preseason, despite another strong performance, were unable to stop the Orlando Magic. The score was 106-88. The Pride of the Nation plays again on Friday (October 17.10) against the Memphis Grizzlies.
