The Pride of the Nation takes to the court this Sunday (9) for a decisive clash in the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA). Rubro-Negro faces Paisas, from Colombia, at 19:10 pm (Brasília time) at the Iván de Bedout Coliseum, in Medellín. The news is that the match will be broadcast live and with images by FlaTV, with narration in Portuguese.

This will be the first game of the quarterfinals, played as a best-of-three series. Game two is already confirmed for the 14th at Maracanãzinho. If necessary, the third and decisive duel will be held on the 15th, also hosted by Flamengo.

After a campaign with five wins in six group stage games, FlaBasquete is looking for a win on the road to get a head start in the match that will qualify for the Final Four of the continental tournament. Point guard Franco Balbi highlighted what he considers essential for Flamengo to achieve a strong result in Colombia.

"The key to prevailing against Paisas will be our defensive intensity and how well we can maintain it, playing focused as much as possible and exploiting their weaknesses. We have to impose our game," said the Argentine, one of the leaders of the red-and-black squad.

The team led by Sergio Henández arrived in Medellín on Saturday with the following players: Alexey Borges, Franco Balbi, Shaq Johnson, Gui Deodato, Jordan Williams, Jhonatan Luz, Kayo Gonçalves, Lucas Siewert, Ruan Miranda and Taya Gallizzi.
