Away from home, FlaBasquete is defeated by Franca by 90 to 85

In another round of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB), FlaBasquete lost to Franca by 90 to 85 on Saturday afternoon (5), at the Pedrocão gym. The red-black highlight in the match was Yago, who scored 28 points, with five rebounds and five assists.

The game
Flamengo's first two points of the match were scored by JP Batista, following an assist from Olivinha. Brandon Robinson, showing off his skill, hit two consecutive three-pointers. Franca, for their part, were also performing well from beyond the arc, and as a result, the game remained fairly even. On the court, Lucas Martinez quickly showed his calling card, sinking a three-pointer. The first quarter ended with Franca winning 22-17.

At the start of the second quarter, FlaBasquete set a strong pace and managed to tie the match, with two points from Mineiro and three from Yago. Franca had the advantage in offensive rebounds and was scoring points. Olivinha appeared at the right time with his accurate three-point shot. Yago then added two more on a platter, leveling the score again. In the final minutes, the game became more exciting, with both teams exchanging points on offense. There was plenty of quality on both sides. The quarter ended with Franca's narrow advantage: 40-39.

After halftime, the game continued with intense intensity. Franca managed to open up a lead. FlaBasquete made some individual mistakes and failed to capitalize on their attacking chances. Franco Balbi appeared at the right time and converted a three-pointer. In the final second of the half to shoot, Balbi hit another three-pointer, as did Lucas Martinez. The better team in the period, the São Paulo team opened up a good lead: 69-54.

In the final quarter, Flamengo fought back, and Balbi and Yago started to score three-pointers again. With that, Flamengo got back into the game and left the match open. The duel became electrifying in the final stretch, with Flamengo managing to close the gap. Despite Flamengo's strong performance in the final quarter, Franca maintained the lead and closed the match 90-85.
