Away from home, FlaBasquete beat Pinheiros 86-65 in another round of the NBB

Gui Deodato was the standout for the red-black side with 19 points converted

In another away game for the NBB, FlaBasquete beat Pinheiros 86-65 on Saturday afternoon (18), at the Henrique Villaboim gym. After a poor start, the Pride of the Nation recovered and was superior until the end of the match. Now, Rubro-Negro will face Vasco in the quarterfinals of the Super 8 Cup.

1st Bedroom
The match began with Pinheiros opening up a nine-point lead. Shaq Johnson scored the first two points for the red-and-blacks. The home team controlled the action and maintained a healthy lead. In the final minutes, the Pride of the Nation fought back and closed the gap. With freedom, Shaq Johnson scored a three-pointer, cutting Pinheiros' lead to just one point. On the court, Gallizzi scored two points, giving Mengão the lead for the first time. In the final seconds, Pinheiros tied the match, and the set ended 24-24. 

2st Bedroom
At the beginning of the second In the fourth quarter, Jhonatan Luz hit a three-pointer and put the red-and-black team back in front. Gui Deodato then converted a three-pointer. Pinheiros, on the other hand, responded in kind, preventing Pinheiros from opening up a lead. Jordan Williams received the ball freely, shot from the perimeter, and the ball went in. Alexey provided a beautiful assist for Gui Deodato to score two more points. In the third quarter, Lucas Siewert took charge, scoring six points on two attacks. Throughout the fourth quarter, FlaBasquete maintained control of the match and opened up an even larger lead. Jordan Williams received the ball while cutting through the defense and converted another three-pointer. On the court, Balbi also followed suit, scoring three more points for the Pride of the Nation, who closed the quarter with an 18-point lead: 78-56. 

4st Bedroom
In the final quarter, FlaBasquete maintained the same pace, preventing Pinheiros from mounting any reaction. Gui Deodoto and Lucas Siewert hit two consecutive three-pointers, maintaining a healthy lead. To seal the victory, Jordan Williams dunked and scored two more points in an 86-65 triumph.

The Pride of the Nation returns to the court on Sunday (26) for the classic against Vasco, at 11 am, at Maracanãzinho, for the quarterfinals of the Super 8 Cup.
