Point guard for the FlaBasquete team and recently four-time champion of the New Brazilian Basketball (NBB), Gegê was called up to represent Brazil at the 2015 Universiade. Around 10 athletes will participate in the multi-sport event, which is the second largest in the world, second only to the Olympics.

The red-and-black team will be presented this Monday (08.06) in São Paulo. The team will be led by Gustavo de Conti. The competition will take place in the city of Gwangju, South Korea, between July 3rd and 14th.
