Flamengo will have a representative in the NBA Summer League. Coach Gustavo De Conti was invited by the Brooklyn Nets to be one of the team's assistant coaches during the competition, which takes place from July 5th to 15th in Las Vegas.

As is customary for some NBA teams, the Nets reviewed various resumes from around the world to select their coaching staff for this tournament. This time, they chose Gustavinho, the red-and-black coach, who won the NBB 11 with Flamengo last season. The coach will travel to Las Vegas on July 1st to begin working with the North American team.

Gustavo also had the support of former player Tiago Splitter, who is part of the Brooklyn staff.

"It's an incredible, unique opportunity. Being able to spend 20 days with an NBA franchise the size of the Nets, exchanging information with the coaches and learning from them, being able to watch the players... it's all very special. I want to thank Flamengo, Delano Franco, Marcelo Vido, and Diego Jeleilate for letting me go and supporting me in this incredible opportunity. I will undoubtedly return much better from there, ready to put what I learned into practice. It's proof that Brazilian basketball is being valued and respected. The NBA is looking at our basketball," celebrated the coach.

The opportunity received by Gustavinho serves to further strengthen the partnership established by Flamengo, NBB and NBA in recent years.
