Hélio hopes to have fans in his "second home"
The point guard played for Uberlândia for four seasons and made many friends in the city.

"I've arrived home." These were Hélio's words upon landing in Uberlândia last Monday (17.01). After four seasons defending Unitri/Uberlândia (2000/2001, 2001/2002, 2005/2006 and 2006/2007), Flamengo's point guard guarantees that he will be very comfortable in the match later today, against the Minas Gerais team, at 20 pm, at the Uberlândia Tênis Clube gymnasium, for the NBB (New Basketball Brazil).
This is because he hopes to count on the support of the many friends he made in the city.
"I have a lot of friends here, I know a lot of people, on and off the court. I hope everyone comes to support me in the match," says Hélio, who has another special reason to cherish fond memories of Uberlândia.
"My wife (nutritionist Fernanda Tirone) is from here. It was while I was playing here that I met her and we got married, in 2007," he says.
Flamengo will attempt to maintain its unbeaten streak in the competition this Tuesday. The team has six wins in seven matches and is the only team to have lost only one game in the tournament.
