Decision time: Flamengo hosts Franca in the NBB final
Game 1 will be at Maracanãzinho; tickets are now on sale
By Mariana Sa - inNow it's time for a decision and nothing else matters. This Sunday (19), at 10:45 am, Flamengo will face Franca in the first duel of the grand final of the New Basketball Brazil 11. Returning to Maracanãzinho, the Most Beloved in the World will have the support of the Red-Black Nation once again. Tickets are now on sale on the website.
Mengo's final challenge was the semifinal against Botafogo. After three tough matches, Flamengo managed to win comfortably, 90-75, closing out the series 3-1 and securing their spot.

Flamengo x Franca
The teams have faced each other 29 times in the history of the NBB. The matchup is evenly matched, but Flamengo has the edge in wins: 18 Flamengos to Franca's 11.
The last match took place at Tijuca Tênis Clube in the second leg of the NBB season. In a spectacular comeback in the final quarter, the Red-Black team won 79-74 with a show by Franco Balbi, Olivinha, Marquinhos, Varejão, and Nesbitt.
The teams faced off in the final of another competition this season: the Super 8 Cup. In a packed Pedrocão stadium, Flamengo overcame all challenges, prevailed in the match, and took the title with a 79-75 victory.

Franca has had excellent performances in the NBB so far. In the qualifying round, they recorded 23 wins and three losses in 26 matches. In the playoffs, they posted positive results against Bauru and Mogi, closing out both series 3-0.
