Everyone knows that Flamengo's professional basketball team is the pride of the nation. But it's not just the adult team that excels on the court. While the current ten-time Rio de Janeiro champions defend their title tonight (October 29.10) against Macaé, the under-17 boys lead the state championship in their category and are undefeated, with 17 wins.
On Saturday (24.10), against Tijuca Tênis Clube, in Gávea, the boys won 78 to 59. Last Tuesday (27.10), the score was impressive: 111 to 21 over Jequiá. The under-17s still have a Fla-Flu ahead, this Thursday, at 17 pm, in Gávea.
To close out the qualifying round, another classic. On November 6th, next Friday, the boys play Botafogo at the Alvinegro stadium at 18:30 pm.
