Flamengo took the court knowing they were eliminated from the Liga das Américas. With 26 points from Hector Romero, the game's top scorer, Espartanos won 77-69 and secured their spot in the next round. Mengão was left to congratulate their opponents.

In the third quarter, a scuffle between Duda and a Venezuelan player resulted in two technical fouls awarded to Espartanos.
