Flamengo remains in the lead of the Under-17 State Basketball Championship. Playing in Teresópolis, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) team faced Comary and won 64-33 in the first game of the second round of the competition. Matheus Macaé was the top scorer for Flamengo with 15 points. Ruan (11 points), Magno (9 points), Joãozinho (8 points), and Igor (7 points) also contributed significantly to the team's strong offensive performance.

Marcos Beegu, the team's coach, analyzed the players' performance in the match.

"The team performed well in all quarters; only in the third did we allow the opposing team to score 13 points, unlike the others where the average score was six. I was very pleased with the defensive performance; individually everyone contributed, and with the full participation of the team, we combined our strengths for Flamengo to win," said Beegu.

Flamengo won their eighth match in the State Championship and remain undefeated in the tournament. With the best defense in the championship, the team's intensity is reflected in the standings, where they maintained their lead. The next match for the Flamengo youth team will be on June 06th at 20 PM against Fluminense at Laranjeiras stadium.

The basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo receive funding from their sponsors – thinkseg, Estácio, AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR) and the State Incentive Law/Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Sports, Recreation, and Youth (Seelje), in addition to support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources from the Pelé Law.
