Flamengo secured its first victory in NBB 10 this Thursday against the team from Campo Mourão. The away game, against a team that has been performing well in the competition and with a strong home crowd, didn't stop Flamengo from imposing its rhythm from the start, closing the match 89-82. Coach José Neto, from the Mais Querido, comments on the match.

"We knew we were going to play a team that's doing very well in the championship. They beat a team that's the favorite to win the title in Franca in the first match. Then they lost by two points right at the end of the game in Bauru and lost on the last ball here to Minas, who are undefeated in the competition. We knew we'd face a very tough team, with the support of the entire city. I think winning achieved a goal for us to continue our work from now on," analyzes the coach.

After losing their opening match to Paulistano, the red-and-blacks knew they needed this victory to regain their morale for the rest of the competition. JP Batista and Olivinha took charge and led the team with double-doubles and over 40 points scored between them.

"They're two players who really connect with each other and are deeply committed to the team and winning. I think the team really exploited this, their strength, and played well as a team so that both of them could shine. This season is still promising. We know we still have a lot of work to do, and many things need to be improved, but there's nothing better than knowing we have to improve by winning," says Neto.

The Mais Querido's next match is against Caxias do Sul, on November 30th, at 20 pm, at Tijuca Tênis Clube.
