FlaBasquete continues its intense preparations for the 2017-18 season. In its first international test, the red-and-black team performed well at the International Tournament in Lima, Peru, finishing second. Flamengo coach José Neto believes the results are positive.

"The Lima Tournament was very productive. We played two matches against Bahía Basket, which has characteristics very similar to the clubs we'll face in the South American Championship. We had a good opportunity to get our team into game rhythm and get a feel for what this first phase in Colombia will be like," analyzed the coach.

Neto took the opportunity to discuss what he observed after his first international matches. "We're still working mainly on our team's rhythm and style of play, which will be different from last year's, especially due to the roster changes. Now we'll use what we saw and what we need to improve, remaining very focused at the start of the season," he added.

The Pride of the Nation debut in the South American League next month and will compete in the first phase of the competition between October 3rd and 5th in Colombia.
