After their seventh straight win, coach José Neto made a point of once again praising his team, which managed to turn things around after a first quarter that saw them trail 10 points. But Flamengo fought back, Neto made changes to the team, and from the second quarter onward, they never relinquished the lead, closing at 78-67, securing another victory in São Paulo. Now, Flamengo is recovering and preparing for their final match in São Paulo, Saturday at 14 pm, against Mogi. 

For Neto, the team's merit lay in its ability to react. Knowing the opponent, who always plays a tough game against Flamengo, it was necessary to make changes to the team and its style of play. 

"We don't get carried away by a specific team. Pinheiros is a team that we know always plays strong and well, and we knew we needed to play that way, otherwise what happened in the first quarter would have happened, when they were far superior. Then, in the second quarter, thanks to the players' merit, we managed to recover the game. We know the team's capabilities and we'll always use that from now on, with a lot of strength from the squad, with the players on the bench, to maintain the intensity," commented the coach after the match.
