FlaBasquete returned to training on Monday morning (20), in Gávea, after passing through São Paulo and Paraná for the first two matches of the New Basketball Brazil 10. With a reduced squad due to the FIBA window (World Cup qualifying matches) and youth competitions for Rubro-Negro (Basketball Development League and Brazilian Interclub Championship), coach José Neto explains the objectives of the practices in the coming days.
"In addition to the physical aspect, this week we'll be training a specific technique. After that, next week, with the reintegration of the youth players, we'll be able to work on more tactical aspects of the team," explains Neto.
Flamengo's next match in the NBB will be on November 30th, at the Tijuca Tênis Clube gym, against Caxias do Sul.
The basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Estácio, AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR) and the State Incentive Law/State Secretariat of Sports, Leisure and Youth (Seelje) of Rio de Janeiro, in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
