After the first day off on Sunday (06.07), the Brazilian basketball team resumed training in preparation for the South American Championship in Venezuela on Monday morning (07.07). The championship will be played on Margarita Island, from July 24 to 28.

The coaching staff considered the first week of training to be very beneficial, with excellent individual performance from each player. "It's great to see that the movements of the plays are coming almost naturally. It's important that the players continue to read the play diagrams so they can assimilate them better. I really enjoyed the training, and we'll continue improving next week," praised the national team and Flamengo coach, José Neto.

On Monday, the day began with physical training at the gym; the athletes continued with two training sessions, at 10:30 a.m. and 17:30 p.m., at the Paulistano gym. Tuesday's (July 08.07) program begins again at the gym at 9 a.m., followed by training at the Sírio gym at 10:30 a.m. The afternoon will be free for everyone to watch Brazil vs. Germany in the semifinals of the World Cup.
