Young athletes from the Cidade de Deus center will reach the NBB final
Rio's Department of Sports, Leisure and Youth will take 50 children practicing taekwondo to the match between Flamengo and Bauru tonight.
By Communication - Official Club Website - inThis Tuesday night (May 26.05th) will not only be special for the professional basketball players on the court, from Flamengo and Bauru, who are competing for the Novo Basquete Brasil 7 trophy. In the stands, there will be 50 young fighters from the Youth Reference Center (CRJ) of Cidade de Deus. The taekwondo practitioners will be brought by the State Secretariat of Sport, Leisure and Youth (Seelje).
According to the Rio de Janeiro State Government, the CRJ (Center for Youth and Sports) in Cidade de Deus offers classes in four martial arts disciplines – karate, capoeira, taekwondo, and jiu-jitsu – with a total of 400 students. English classes are also held at the center.
