Flamengo won another match this Saturday night (17) in the city of Arequipa, Peru, for the I International Tournament, a friendly pre-season quadrangular that also features teams from Argentina and Spain, in addition to the home team. JP Batista stood out in the paint and was the top scorer of the game against the Elite Sports (PER) team, with 21 points scored, and captain Marcelinho Machado scored 17. Flamengo was also very consistent in the assists aspect, with 20 in total. In the final score, the Mais Querido finished ahead by 93x77.

"We're very happy to win another match here in Peru, although we know we still have a lot to improve on, as we're just starting the season. The team is getting more in sync, and we're able to execute what Neto proposes, so things are starting to come together, although we know we still have a lot of work ahead of us. The altitude is also a big problem here, and now we need to keep working to be better prepared physically, in tune with the younger players. We're going after another win tomorrow," said center JP. 

To close the Pride of the Nation commitment in Peru, the team led by José Neto faces Rio Natura Monbus (ESP) this Sunday (18), at 20 pm (Brasília)
