Youth and children debut in the State basketball tournament

Flamengo's U-19 (youth) basketball team debuts this Wednesday (06.04) in the State Championship. The team faces Vasco, at 20 pm, at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, in Gávea. Before, at 18:30 pm, at the same location, the U-14 (children's) team will also make its debut in the competition, against Vasco.
"We have high expectations for the debut of the Juvnil. We brought reinforcements from outside Rio, such as Felpe Ranieri, from Criciúma, and Ricardo Bampa, from São José do Rio Preto, and we also have homegrown talent, such as Marcelão, who plays in the adult category, Anderson, Robert, among others. We will try to go for the title and try to end Fluminense's dominance," said the coordinator of the youth categories, Paulo Chupeta.

The other youth teams in the red-and-black youth team have already made their competition debut. The under-15 team defeated Vasco 61-50. The under-17 team overcame three challenges: Jacarepaguá 70-40, América de Três Rios 79-45, and Vasco 66-44. The under-13 team defeated Vasco 99-40.
