The "Cria" is ours—and he's still with Mengão! Kayo Gonçalves has renewed his contract and is confirmed for the FlaBasquete roster for the 2025/26 season. A product of the club's youth academy, the power forward will continue to defend the Manto Sagrado.

Last season, Kayo played an important role in the red-black rotation and was present in the conquests of the Super 8 Cup and the Basketball Champions League Americas, which guaranteed Flamengo a place in the Intercontinental Cup. 

With his versatility and reliable perimeter shooting, the athlete has steadily gained a place in Sergio Hernandez's squad. Now, with his contract extension confirmed, Kayo will continue to contribute with energy, dedication, and a strong sense of belonging to the team that made him famous.

The power forward projected his future with the club. "I'm very happy to continue at Flamengo, the club where I was formed and which means so much to me. Winning two major titles last season was special, but I know I still have a lot of room to grow here. I'm motivated and ready to help the team in whatever way I can on this new journey," said Kayo.

With the renewal, Kayo Gonçalves joins Alexey Borges, Gui Deodato, Jhonatan Luz and Ruan Miranda as the names confirmed for the next season of red-black basketball.
