Laprovittola is happy with his good debut in the NBB
Argentine starts the competition by being the top scorer in a match against Brasília

If Flamengo's debut in the sixth edition of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) was good, point guard Laprovittola's was excellent. With 22 points and five assists, he was the star of the 84-82 victory over Brasília, in a game held last Saturday (November 09.11) at the HSBC Arena. For the Argentine, the strength of the red-and-black fans coming from the stands was a great fuel for his great performance.
"I'm happy to have won. I came to an important club like Flamengo to win. The problems and absences (Meyinsse, Marcelinho and Marquinhos) only gave us more strength to play with more energy. Furthermore, the passion and energy that came from the stands in the arena helped us a lot to conduct the match well," he said.
Besides being the top scorer in the match against Brasília, Laprovittola stepped up in the most decisive moments and used the experience of a worthy member of the Argentine national team to lead the red-and-black team. Humble, he made a point of emphasizing the strength of the group when asked if he had been the best player in the NBB 6 opening match.
"We all gave 100%. Shilton made an incredible save, Benite scored a very important ball, Gegê handled everything very well, Olivinha was fantastic... Everyone on the court did everything right and Neto put the team together very well. So, we're happy, because the team did well. That's what we need to do every day," he said.
Laprovittola will return to the court next Saturday (16.11), at 18 pm, when Flamengo will play, at the Tijuca Tênis Clube gym, its second match in the current edition of the NBB. The opponent will be Goiânia.
