Star Leandrinho began his physical preparation at Flamengo this Wednesday morning (24.08). Out for four months due to a right wrist injury, the Toronto Raptors' NBA wing/point guard underwent a physical evaluation at Gávea: he participated in warm-ups with the team on the court and then ran on the pitch.
"We're conducting physical assessments to determine Leandrinho's fitness level. Little by little, we'll be releasing him to train with the team. We expect him to be training with the ball in about two weeks," said fitness coach Rafael Bernardelli.
Excited about returning to Brazilian courts, Leandrinho admitted that he misses the ball.
"I haven't played for a long time, so just seeing people playing football makes my mouth water," said the player, who still has no date set for his debut in the red-and-black shirt.

Flamengo will participate in the João Herculino Trophy against Uniceub-Brasília on October 8th and 9th. The friendly tournament will be played in Brasília, with the location and time yet to be determined, and will serve as preparation for the season's main competitions, such as the South American League at the end of October and the NBB (New Basketball Brazil) in November.
