Power forward arrives at Mais Querido after a season at Bilbao Basket
By Communication - Flamengo - inThere's news at Mengão! Power forward Léo Demetrio is the new FlaBasquete player. The 25-year-old Brazilian arrives at Mengão after a season with Bilbao Basket in Spain, where he averaged 8,49 points and 5,12 rebounds per game in the LEB Oro.

In his first words with the Sacred Mantle, Demétrio did not hide his happiness at arriving at Rubro-Negro.
"I'm very happy to sign with Flamengo, the current NBB champion. I hope to have a good season and win titles. I'm a versatile player and can help the team in many aspects of the game," he said.
The Mengão signing has played for Minas TC, Fuenlabrada (Spain), Força Lleida (Spain), Breogán (Spain), FIAT Torino (Italy) and Bilbao Basket (Spain). For the Brazilian national team, Léo has played in several categories, being part of the squad that finished runner-up in the U-18 Copa América.
Leonardo Demetrio joins the Mengão squad, which includes Franco Balbi, Pedro Nunes, Zach Graham, Deryk Ramos, Marquinhos, Jhonatan Luz, Olivinha, Leron Black, and Rafael Mineiro. The squad will compete in the Liga das Américas, the NBB, the State Championship, and the Super 8 Cup, under the leadership of coach Gustavo De Conti.
