Leron Black is Flamengo's newest signing! The 23-year-old power forward, a graduate of the University of Illinois, joins Flamengo after a stint with Argentino de Junín in Argentina. 

Last season for Junín, Leron averaged 15,8 points and 7,2 rebounds per game, with a 15,4 efficiency rating. In his final year in the NCAA, Black averaged 15,3 points and 5,2 rebounds per game. 

In his first words as a red-and-black player, the American did not hide his happiness.

"I'm excited to announce that I will be playing for Flamengo next season. I'm looking forward to arriving in Brazil and starting work with the team. I'm very grateful for the opportunity and I'll play as hard as I can to help the team and bring a lot of love to our fans," he said.
