Flamengo defeats the home team 87-85 in a balanced game in Espírito Santo

In a closely contested game, Flamengo beat CETAF/Vila Velha by just two points in the second and final friendly match between the two teams on Saturday night (02.10) in Vila Velha (ES). With a goal from Bábby, the Rubro-negro team won 87-85. In the first match on Friday (01.10), Flamengo had fewer difficulties and won 99-80. The friendlies served as preparation for the competitions the Rio de Janeiro team will play in this season, such as the South American League and the NBB.
Bábby and Marcelinho led Flamengo with 24 points each. Jefferson scored 11, and Teichmann had 8. For Vila Velha, American Maurice Reddick stood out with 27 points. American Kyle Lamonte was rested due to an injury and did not play by decision of the coaching staff.
The team returns to Rio this Sunday (October 03.10) and continues competing in the State Championship. The next challenge will be on Wednesday (October 06.10), against Cabo Frio, at 19 pm, in Cabo Frio. Flamengo is undefeated in the competition.
