Flamengo defeated Rio Claro 96-66 this Friday night in Gávea, maintaining its unbeaten record in the National Men's Basketball Championship. Brazilian National Team coach Moncho Monsalve was in attendance at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium.

With 23 points, winger Marcelinho was the game's top scorer, and with another strong performance, he helped the red-and-black team reach its 12th consecutive championship win. Number 10 Duda, who scored 22 points in the match, praised the spirit of the red-and-black team.
