Marcelinho and Marquinhos defend Brazil in the World Cup

Flamengo has had two players called up to represent the Brazilian national team at the Basketball World Cup in Spain. Marcelinho and Marquinhos are on Rúben Magnano's list, released this Wednesday (June 18.06). The competition begins on August 30 and runs until September 14.
Two more athletes will be added, expected to be announced after the South American Championships. The team will report to São Paulo on July 20th for training until August 4th.
Winger Marquinhos, who suffered serious injuries at the beginning of the 2013/2014 season, recovered physically and won titles and was called up to the national team. "I was very happy to have this opportunity to represent Brazil and play in a World Cup. It will be amazing to be able to play with the best players in the world," said the player.
Busy start to the season
In addition to the national team tournaments, the red-and-blacks will face Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel in the Club World Cup in October. In the same month, the team will participate in two new NBA preseason games, with opponents yet to be determined. The NBB7 is scheduled to begin in November 2014.
