Marcelinho and Olivinha renew their contracts with Flamengo for another year
Captain and power forward join Marquinhos, who is in the second year of his contract, on the FlaBasquete team for next season

FlaBasquete has secured two more stars for next season's team. Forward Marcelinho Machado, Mengão's biggest basketball idol, and power forward Olivinha have renewed their contracts with the club for another year.
A four-time NBB champion with Flamengo, Olivinha will defend the Sacred Mantle for the fifth season, while Marcelinho will be in his tenth season as captain of the Mais Querido, having lifted Flamengo's five NBB trophies and another in the CBB Brazilian Championship. Playing together for Mengão, the athletes have won four consecutive NBB titles, a League of the Americas title, and a World Cup.
"I'm very happy to renew my contract, to play another year for Flamengo, my favorite club. It will be my tenth season at Gávea, it's where I feel at home, I feel embraced by the nation and I want to help the club continue to win important titles," celebrated Marcelinho, followed by Olivinha.
"It's a great honor and a great pleasure for me to be able to continue making history wearing the Flamengo jersey. This will be my fifth consecutive season, and my twelfth in total. The desire and drive are the same as if it were my first year at the club. I hope this season is as successful as the last four," he concluded.
The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo adult basketball team relies on direct funding from its sponsor Estácio, in addition to investments from Tim via the State Sports Incentive Law/State Secretariat for Sports, Leisure and Youth (ICMS).
