Marquinhos reaches 17 games with more than 14 points in NBB CAIXA 9
The winger is the top scorer for the red-black squad in the tournament, with an average of 19.42 points per game.

Firmly battling for the top spot in the Novo Basquete Brasil 9 (NBB CAIXA) league, Flamengo secured its 15th victory in the competition and is battling Brasília for first place game by game. With the highest points average of the red-and-black squad so far, Marquinhos is a key player for José Neto's team. In his fifth season with the club, the 32-year-old winger is fourth among NBB CAIXA scorers with 19.42 points per game.
Of Flamengo's 20 matches in the current edition of the national championship, Marquinhos was absent from the court in only one, against Caxias do Sul in the last match of 2016. In the 14 Flamengo victories he participated in, the number 11 scored at least 14 points in all but the match against Pinheiros. In the Mais Querido's five losses this season, the winger scored at least 18 points in four.
Another impressive feat is the 11 games in which Marquinhos scored 20 or more points. He also finished top scorer eight times, the same number of times he was the second-highest scorer in the game.
Flamengo remains in the lead with fifteen wins and five losses, the same campaign as Brasília, which is close to first place. Next Tuesday (21), Mais Querido will go to the Gualberto Moreira gym to face Liga Sorocabana, at 20 pm.
