The champion team of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) couldn't be without representatives in the championship team. Forward Marquinhos and center Caio Torres were named the best at their positions. The red-and-black number 11 was also chosen as the best player of the tournament.

Both were instrumental in Flamengo's victory over Uberlândia, a game that decided the title in favor of "Mais Querido." Caio Torres led all scorers with 23 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Marquinhos scored 16 points and, as usual, took the blame during the most tense moments of the final.

"The awards were important, but even though I was named best player, the group was more important. The title was the best birthday present I could have had. I'd like to thank the fans who welcomed me with open arms. This title represents a lot of hard work and overcoming, an incredible project by the coaching staff. Fortunately, we were able to put it into practice on the court," said Marquinhos, who turned 29 a day before the NBB final.

Flamengo representatives Duda Machado and José Neto were also nominated for the sixth man and coach awards, respectively. Neither of them was chosen to be part of the team of the tournament, but they still celebrate the title.
