Marquinhos and Gustavinho analyze the defeat against Pinheiros

Flamengo did not have a good night and lost the first match of the season

This Thursday (1), Flamengo hosted Pinheiros at Arena Carioca 1 and ended up defeated by 74 to 61. After the match, winger Marquinhos and coach Gustavo De Conti spoke about the first setback of the year, in addition to projecting the next match against Corinthians.

"We want to perform well every day, but today didn't work out. We had very low performance, and it's difficult to win a match like that. Defensively, we were there, but the lack of offense took away our confidence. Congratulations to the Pinheiros team, who knew how to take advantage of that. Today we were far below our potential. I don't blame fatigue; they played a good match and took us out of our comfort zone. Now it's time to watch the video and prepare for the match against Corinthians. We have to do everything we can to win this classic. The defeat doesn't take away our confidence for Saturday. Now the focus is on winning," said Marquinhos.

"Now it's more about talking, watching videos, and seeing what we did wrong. Offensively, we weren't close to what we have been, so we need to correct these details to improve our performance. We need to talk a lot, as we don't have much time to train. We'll adapt to Corinthians as quickly as possible," analyzed Gustavinho.

Fla returns to Arena Carioca next Saturday (3), at 14 pm, against Corinthians. The match will be broadcast by Band.
