By Communication - Flamengo - inCelebrating the birthday of the day, the special guest at Nação's Happy Hour this Sunday (31) was winger Marquinhos. Three fan members of the red-black program rescued actions and were able to chat and ask questions in the virtual meeting with the FlaBasquete idol.
Do you intend to retire at Flamengo? (question from Júlio César da Silva)
It would truly be a dream to finish my career at Flamengo because of everything the club represents to me, the recent successful years, and everything we've been building at Flamengo. It would be wonderful because the club has a really cool structure, and I fit in within it. I have a great connection with the fans, with the entire nation, and I try to represent them on the court.
Do you like watching Mengão play at Maraca in your spare time? (question from Uendel de Sá)
My fiancée has been a Flamengo fan since she was a child. I wasn't a Flamengo fan, but I became one because of the affection I've developed over the last few years, and she's always encouraging me. "Let's go to Maraca, let's go to Maraca." We live near the club and Maracanã, so whenever we get the chance, we're there cheering for Mengão.
Of the five NBB finals, which was the most difficult? (question from Vankerdan Rocha)
My unforgettable final was my first NBB match with Flamengo. Flamengo and Uberlândia was definitely the most difficult, not only because it was the first match, but because of how the championship was designed with a single-game final. We had home court and it was a time slot we weren't used to playing. We had played a brilliant first half of the championship, a very tough playoff against São José in five games, so we had all the ingredients to win. But on the other hand, losing to Nação after everything we'd done in the first championship left us with butterflies in our stomachs. In the end, everything worked out, we won the tough match, even most of the time, but we managed to emerge champions. If I'm not mistaken, it was one of the best NBB campaigns, we even had 21 or 22 consecutive wins, I think that's still a record, and that's why I think it was one of the most difficult championships I've won with Flamengo, because of that streak of consecutive wins and a single-game final.
