They're staying! Point guard Matheus Brito, forward Aieser Batista, and power forward Ruan Miranda have renewed their contracts with Flamengo. The players, who are part of the U-19 team and the Mais Querido's adult squad, have extended their contracts to continue defending the Manto Sagrado.

Matheusinho had a very special first season with Flamengo. In his first year playing for Flamengo, the 18-year-old was named MVP, top scorer, and leader in assists at the Brazilian Under-18 Basketball Cup. In addition to being champion and top scorer in the Under-19 State Championship, he also won the Campeonato Carioca and Copa Super 8 titles with the senior squad.

Boasting great physical potential, Aieser Batista had a successful season. The winger was part of the Rio de Janeiro U-19 championship squad and represented the Brazilian National Team 3x3 at the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina. Upon his return, coach Gustavo de Conti began calling the youngster up for senior matches and became a key player for the club's youth academy.

Ruan Miranda is a major talent for Flamengo. The 17-year-old power forward won state titles in three categories last year: U-17, U-19, and Senior. A regular on the senior squad, he was part of the team that faced the Orlando Magic in the NBA Global Games and won the Super 8 Cup.

The basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – thinkseg, AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR) and the State Incentive Law/State Secretariat of Sports, Leisure and Youth (Seelje) of Rio de Janeiro, in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
