Mengão beats Fortaleza BC 82-69 and wins the second consecutive NBB match

The game
The first quarter began with Fortaleza taking a four-point lead. But FlaBasquete responded quickly, converting a three-pointer from Hettsheimeir. After trailing for a few minutes, Mengão took the lead with two three-pointers from Chuzito González. With the comeback, the red-and-black team closed the period ahead 27-18.
At the start of the second quarter, the game became quite tight, with an intense battle for possession. Fortaleza adjusted its defense and made it difficult for the Rubro-Negro to attack, which made a few mistakes. In the final five minutes, the Ceará team grew into the game and closed the gap. But Flamengo, with a highly experienced team on the court, reacted quickly and once again opened up a lead. The highlight of the period was Rafael Mineiro's beautiful block under the basket. The second quarter ended 40-33 for Flamengo.
After halftime, Chuzito showed he was truly on top of his game and hit another three-pointer. Coach Gustavo de Conti had three centers on the court, making it easier for Flamengo to execute penetration plays in the paint. Chuzito continued to excel in the match with his accurate three-point shooting. The standout play was Léo Demetrio's sweet pass to Mineiro for the alley-oop. Flamengo calmly worked the ball and scored, further increasing Flamengo's lead: 64-49.
In the final quarter, in the first minute, Balbi hit a three-pointer. Fortaleza, in turn, came back more focused and managed to cut the deficit to eight points, sounding the alarm bells for the red-and-black team. With three minutes remaining, the red-and-black lead was only six points. With two point guards on the court, Yago and Balbi, the red-and-black Monster appeared at the right time and hit a crucial three-pointer, giving Mengão a nine-point lead at a crucial moment in the match. Olivinha, also playing well, capitalized on the rebounds to convert points.
With broad control of the match, FlaBasquete put on another good collective performance and won 82-69, securing their second consecutive victory in the NBB.
