In the last match, Flamengo suffered a 72-71 defeat to Paulistano. Marquinhos was the star of the match, with an incredible 37 points. With this feat, he became the record holder for points in a single NBB 10 match.

"I don't think losing the lead is a warning sign. We need to be more consistent throughout the match, with balance. I want this to serve as a lesson for this team, so that we're very solid throughout the match and can win the title. We were looking for the result, we were very close to winning, but we couldn't finish it off. The championship is tough, and nobody wins on the eve of the match. We'll work harder to be strong in the matches," said the coach.
