The center won the hearts of the "Mais Querido" fans not only for his spirit on the court, but also for his good humor and Flamengo enthusiasm on social media. Jerome became even better known for his videos and photos, which always highlight his outgoing personality and support for Flamengo.

Even though he's passionate about the beach, açaí, Maracanã, and Carnival, his seriousness in the paint has always been a defining characteristic of Jerome. MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the final stage of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) in 2014, the American became a reference in the squad led by coach José Neto and a key player in decisive moments, especially with his rebounds and timely blocks.

Meyinsse's connection with Flamengo and Rio de Janeiro is so strong that the center doesn't deny having found his new home. "For me, playing for Flamengo is like playing for family. Many people who contact me on social media, on the street, and on my travels say they like my game, my videos, and that they are passionate about the Red-Blacks. I really enjoy playing for this club. This is like my home," he said.

This Saturday (March 14.03), Jerome returns to the Maracanãzinho court, where he was crowned champion of the Americas last year, aiming for another triumph. With titles such as the 2013/2014 New Basketball Brazil Championship, the 2014 League of the Americas, and the 2014 Intercontinental Cup under his belt, Meyinsse promises all the commitment and determination possible, as is his custom, to secure his second continental title. To this end, the American once again relies on the support of the red-and-black nation. "I promise we will give our all in this Final Four. With the support of the fans, who are always there in difficult matches, we will give our best on the court, striving for victory. Now is the most important moment; we are playing at our best level of the season, and we will give everything to win this title," he concluded.
