In the opening of the NBA G League International Challenge, Flamengo faces Bayern Munich
Rubro-Negro will face the Germans in Marquinhos' first match after the World Cup in China
By Rafael Rezende - inHaving qualified for the Carioca Championship final, Flamengo now focuses its efforts on another competition: the NBA G-League International Challenge. In Uruguay, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) team debuts later today at 18:30 PM against Bayern Munich at the Antel Arena.
In the current season, the record is three wins and one loss. The new addition to the group is winger Marquinhos, a fan favorite, who will play his first game after competing in the World Cup in China with the Brazilian National Team. For the first time, coach Gustavo de Conti will have all players available.

"It's a pre-season tournament for us, and I think no team here came in the best condition. We're not just thinking about the final result, but about evolving, facing great opponents, gaining more cohesion, and improving the level of our training. Some players arrived this season, and this trip is proving good for bringing the team closer together."

"Our first opponent is strong, they are preparing for the Euroleague and have great players (two went to the World Cup). Like all European teams, they have a good physical game, but we are ready to face them."
Dispute format
Six teams were divided into groups of three. The top two from each group advance to the semi-final, which will be played on Saturday (21). The grand final is scheduled for Sunday (22), at 18:30 pm.
