New victory puts Mais Querido very close to the spot
By Victor Cachoeira - inFlaBasquete takes to the court this Tuesday (17) for the second match of the quarterfinals of Novo Basquete Brasil. Seeking to take another step towards qualifying for the semis, Rubro-Negro hosts Minas Tênis Clube, at 20:30 pm, at Arena Carioca 1.
In game 1 of the series, the red-black team won away from home by a score of 84-70. In a great collective game and with several players scoring in double digits, Marquinhos was the top scorer of the game with 16 points. Marcelinho (15 points), JP Batista (14 points), Olivinha (12 points) and Varejão (10 points) showed the strength of the group and contributed to the strong offensive performance of Mais Querido.

In the first round, at Arena Minas, Mais Querido won 83-76 in a great performance by Marquinhos and Olivinha. The forward scored 10 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and four assists, while the number 16 achieved another double-double in his career, totaling 10 points and 10 rebounds.
In the return leg of the championship, at Arena Carioca 1, another red-and-black victory was won. Celebrating Marcelinho's 500th game, FlaBasquete closed the score at 96-84. Marquinhos led the way with 28 points.
