In their farewell to the League of the Americas, Flamengo lost to Lanus, 83-69, on Sunday night in Argentina. With no chance of qualifying after Saturday's loss to MavortCoach José Neto rested players with the rest of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) in mind. The team started with Zanotti and Shilton, replacing Caio and Marquinhos, respectively.
The red-and-black team played a balanced first quarter, but ended up falling off, allowing the Argentine team to grow in the second and third quarters. In the end, the team attempted a comeback, but it wasn't enough. Olivinha led the red-and-black team with 14 points, and Kojo finished with three assists.
Next Thursday, Flamengo turns its attention to the NBB, when it will face Joinville, at 20 pm, in Santa Catarina.
