In Nicaragua, Flamengo competes in the final phase of the Champions League of the Americas

Pride of the Nation faces Caballos de Coclé (PAN) this Saturday (10) in search of a place in the semi-finals

FlaBasquete is ready for the final stage of the Champions League of the Americas! This Friday (09), the Pride of the Nation held its first training session at the Polideportivo Alexis Argüello gymnasium in Managua, aiming for this Saturday's (10) match against Caballos de Coclé. In a single match, the Mais Querido seeks victory over the Panamanian team to advance to the semi-finals. The game will be broadcast live on Dazn in Brazil starting at 17:10 pm (Brasília time).

After the morning's activity, coach Gustavo De Conti spoke about the team's arrival in Nicaragua and analyzed their quarterfinal opponent.

"The trip was quite tiring, with many hours of flying, many hours waiting at the airport, in customs, but we finally arrived. We had a good night's rest and went to training early this morning, ironing out some important details specifically with Caballos in mind," the coach continued. "We're quite confident. We know it's a very tough competition, and when it narrows down like this, international matches are very difficult against any team. This Caballos team is practically a Panamanian team mixed with some great Puerto Ricans. Expectations are always the best possible: a win and a move on to the semifinals. That's what we hope for."

Minas Gerais, São Paulo, and Franca from Brazil, Quimsa and San Lorenzo from Argentina, and Real Estelí, the home team, complete the Champions League Final 8. If they get past the Panamanian team, Flamengo will face the winner of São Paulo vs. San Lorenzo in the next round.
