On Thursday morning (10.11), Flamengo players and coaching staff participated in the launch party for NBB 4, which took place in the club's main hall, in Gávea. The club's president, Patricia Amorim, as well as the vice president of Olympic sports, Cristina Callou, and the basketball director, Arnaldo Szpiro, were also present. Flamengo's debut will be on 19.11, against Paulistano, at 12 pm, at Tijuca Tênis Clube.

The president made a point of welcoming all participants to the event and praised the efforts of the National Basketball League (LNB) in developing the sport in the country.

"May the work continue strong in the intention of transforming basketball into the second sport for Brazilians," said Patrícia Amorim.

Rubro-negros Marcelinho and Caio Torres, who participated in Brazil's campaign to win a place at the London Olympics in 2012, were honored at the event.
