Flamengo's point guard Benite has been called up to the Brazilian Youth National Team and will be joined by José Neto, his coach at Flamengo, who will be one of Ruben Magnano's assistants. The two will report to São Paulo on June 09th to begin training for the International Tournament in France. The competition will run from July 02nd to 04th.

"I'm convinced that this Young Players' National Team is a great project. The Brazilian Basketball Confederation (CBB) understood the idea and embraced it with excellence, aiming to give these young players international experience. We don't want this to be an investment just for future teams, but rather an investment in the future of these young people," Ruben Magnano, coach of the Brazilian Adult National Team, told the Brazilian Basketball Confederation website.

While they are not yet introduced to the Brazilian New Players' National Team, José Neto and Benite have their attention focused on Novo Basquete Brasil. The two are in São Paulo, where Flamengo will face São José this Thursday (23.05), in a game valid for the semifinals of the competition.
