Neto expects a tough game against Basquete Cearense
Victory is important to keep Flamengo at the top of the sixth edition of Novo Basquete Brasil

After the victory over Mogi das Cruzes last Saturday (January 11.01), the Flamengo team's argument was that the game had been very tough because their opponent was very strong physically. For coach José Neto, however, the next match in the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) will demand even more from the Flamengo squad. The match, against Basquete Cearense, is scheduled for 21:15 pm next Monday (January 13.01) and will be held at Tijuca Tênis Clube, in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
"This is a game where we have to play even stronger, as the Basquete Cearense team was built to fight for the title. They're having a good campaign and have a winning streak. We expect a tougher game than yesterday's (against Mogi das Cruzes), as the opponent will come with high morale. We have to play with great organization and tactical discipline to come away with the victory," said the coach.
American center Jerome Meyinsse is another who emphasizes the importance of entering the court with determination. "I think we'll play strong and hard, like we did against Mogi das Cruzes. Hopefully, we'll win again," he said. If the victory does come, it will be the eleventh in 14 games.

When the match against Mogi das Cruzes ended, Flamengo was still in second place in the competition. However, Limeira took the court on Saturday night and lost, which allowed the Mais Querido to take the lead in NBB 6 alongside the São Paulo club.
