In the Basketball Champions League Americas quarterfinals, Flamengo was defeated by Minas Gerais 85-83 at Arena Carioca 1, ending its participation in the competition. The team returns to action in the NBB on the 14th, against Bauru, away from home.

The game
FlaBasquete started the match working the ball up front, and Olivinha, on the hook, scored the first two points of the match. Robinson was the red-and-black's standout at the start of the quarter, scoring six points. Minas, in turn, grew into the game and even took the lead. The Pride of the Nation, in the final minute, managed to regain the lead with two free throws from JP Batista, who finished the period with eight points: 25-23.

In the second quarter, the match remained evenly matched, with Minas managing to open a five-point lead. FlaBasquete struggled to penetrate the paint due to the opponent's tight marking. Rafa Mineiro received the ball inside the paint and used the backboard to score two more points. Olivinha then hit a three-pointer to reduce the deficit to just three points. Dar Tucker made no mistake, also scoring a three-pointer. Minas went into halftime ahead: 37-39.

In the opening seconds of the third quarter, Yago made a solo play and scored two more for Flamengo. Minas continued their attacking momentum, scoring. Yago again, this time from outside the perimeter, attempted a shot, but the ball hit the rim and fell. The Red-Black Monster took center stage in the fourth quarter and dictated the pace, allowing Flamengo to regain the lead. JP Batista faced the defense and, from the hook, scored two more. In the final seconds, Rafa Mineiro converted a crucial three-pointer and put the Pride of the Nation ahead: 59-57.

In the fourth quarter, Balbi entered the court and quickly converted three points for the Mais Querido. The Argentine point guard, who takes responsibility in decisive moments, provided a beautiful assist for JP Batista, who scored two more from inside the paint.
The match remained very even, with Minas also scoring on offense, making the game thrilling. Yago, playing excellently in the period, hit two more three-pointers and fired up the Red-Black Nation in the Arena. The game was decided in the final seconds, and Minas ultimately prevailed: 83-85.
