Voting for the best players of the entire season of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) is open until next Monday (May 12.05). Flamengo's entire starting lineup - Laprovittola, Marcelinho, Marquinhos, Olivinha, and Meyinsse - are competing, each in their own position. In addition to them, Washam is competing in the sixth man category, Felício as Young Player of the Year, Gegê as Most Improved Player, and Shilton as Best Defender.

Athletes from the 17 clubs compete in ten categories. Coaches, assistants, captains, media, referees, and sports personalities must nominate the best in each category. The league nominated one player from each club for each category. The awards for best player in the league (MVP) and best foreign athlete, new to this edition, are the only ones without prior nominations.

After excellent performances in the campaigns for the ninth Rio de Janeiro championship, two LDB and NBB championships, and the unprecedented conquest of the Liga das Américas, the young red-and-black point guard Gegê celebrates the nomination and the recognized work.
