The new faces of FlaBasquete arrived at Mais Querido with the best possible performance: a title. During their campaign for the club's thirteenth consecutive state title, Franco Balbi, Deryk Ramos, Jhonatan Luz, Davi Rossetto, Rafael Mineiro, Kevin Crescenzi, and David Nesbitt had excellent performances and were instrumental in the club's unbeaten run. 

Following the example of great Argentine point guards, Franco Balbi excelled in scoring and assists. At the end of the tournament, he averaged 10,4 points and 4,2 assists, winning the hearts of the Red-Black Nation. Also in the starting position, captain Davi Rossetto played a key role in the Tradition Team's defensive performance. With his usual grit, the number 5 celebrated his first trophy with the Sacred Mantle. 

"This is Flamengo, we can't compete for second place. We have to always think about winning titles. The first mission of the year has been accomplished, now it's time to keep our heads held high because the year is long and we still have much joy for the Red-Black Nation," Davi emphasized. 

Deryk Ramos, the Flamengo's top scorer in the grand final with 14 points, didn't feel the weight of the jersey. Playing as if he'd been at Flamengo for years, with above-average three-point shooting and consistently consistent offensive performance throughout the tournament, the shooting guard became a cornerstone of the Flamengo team.

"It's an incredible feeling! The club has a huge history in the Campeonato Carioca and being able to become champion is a wonderful thing. I want to bring a lot of joy to the nation," said the number 9. 

Kevin Crescenzi missed the start of the State Championship due to an ankle injury, but he was with the team throughout. After recovering, the Mais Querido's number 8 returned to excellent form, scoring well in the matches against Niterói. 

Jhonatan Luz brought experience and consistency to the FlaBasquete squad. With impeccable tactical discipline and above-average defensive performance, the number 7 was decisive in the final match with steals and precious three-point shots. 

In the paint, giants Rafael Mineiro and David Nesbitt arrived at Mengão under different circumstances. Mineiro returned to Gávea after a stint in Franca and has been winning over the nation with consistent performances and double-digit scoring in almost every match. Nesbitt was the last to join the red-and-black squad, but he was one of the main reasons for Flamengo's excellent rebounding performance. Fighting for every ball, the Bahamian was omnipresent on the court in every game he played.
