Ruan Miranda will once again wear the Sacred Mantle, Nation! The 23-year-old center, originally from São Luís, Maranhão, is a Gávea native, having played for the Most Beloved from 2017 to 2021.

Wearing red and black, Ruan was part of the squads that won two NBB Championships, two Super 8 Championships, and a Champions League Americas at the turn of the last decade. Seeking more opportunities, the youngster left Flamengo at age 20, at the end of the 2021 season. In the following years, Ruan played for Cerrado and Paulistano, being named MVP of the NBB Development League and Young Player of the Year, in addition to participating in the All-Star Game and winning the Global Jam with the Brazilian National Team.

This highlight earned the center a spot in the NBA G-League, with Capitanes, in Mexico and - after the end of the preparatory competition of the biggest league in the world - with Venados de Mazatlan, in the Mexican League.

Back at Mais Querido, Ruan seemed very motivated.

"The feeling of returning to Flamengo is one of great euphoria. I'm very happy to be back home, because it's the place where I grew as a person and as a professional. I formed strong friendships, built a second family, and this is very special to me. Now, with my return, I'm more experienced, eager to contribute to the team in pursuit of titles. I want to contribute and make this nation proud! The fans can be sure there will be no shortage of energy, drive, and commitment; for me, that's what being Flamengo is all about!" said the center.

Ruan Miranda joins Franco Balbi, Alexey Borges, Shaq Johnson, Gui Deodato, Jordan Williams, Jhonatan Luz, Kayo Gonçalves, Lucas Siewert, Taya Gallizzi and Ítalo Honorato, in addition to the boys Matheus Gueiros, Isaque Duarte and Yan Marun, as the names confirmed for the FlaBasquete squad in 24/25.
