Five-time champion of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) and MVP of the 2018-19 finals, power forward Olivinha has renewed his contract with Flamengo and will play another season wearing the sacred jersey. With Flamengo since 2012, the star player also boasts titles in the Liga das Américas, the World Championship, and six state championships.

Completely identified with Flamengo, the number 16 jersey is synonymous with grit and dedication. A fan favorite, he averaged 13,0 points, 9,0 rebounds, and 18,8 efficiency in the decisive games of NBB 11. Last season, he averaged 20.1 minutes, 12.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and a 17.5 efficiency rating in 38 games played. Olivinha is also the all-time leading rebounder in the competition's history, with 3.078 rebounds.
With the confirmation of the star player's contract renewal, he joins Marquinhos, Deryk Ramos, Jhonatan Luz, and coach Gustavo De Conti, who all have one more year left on their contracts with Flamengo.
