Franco Balbi will continue to wear red and black in 24/25, Nation! The point guard is the first name confirmed for the current season of the red-and-black basketball team.

Balbi arrived at the Mais Querido in 2018 and enjoyed four magical seasons defending the colors of the Nation's Pride. With the Magician on the court, Flamengo won four Carioca titles, two NBB titles, a Champions League Americas, a World Cup, and two Super 8 Cups. In 22/23, Balbi spent a season in Argentina, excelling at Boca Jrs. Last year, Franco returned home and won the Carioca championship five times and the Super 8 three times, when FlaBasquete defeated Unifacisa in a packed Maracanãzinho stadium.

"I'm very happy to continue another year at Flamengo. It's always a pleasure to wear the Mantle. This year I intend to seek more titles, more achievements. We'll dedicate ourselves fully! I hope the nation is behind us so we can continue making history for this great club," said the Pride of the Nation idol.

The icing on the cake for the Argentine's last season came in the continental competition, the Champions League Americas. With outstanding performances, Balbi was named the best point guard—and consequently—chosen for the championship's team, averaging 10.7 points and 5.4 assists per game.

Franco Balbi is the first name confirmed for the 23/24 season of FlaBasquete.
